Done in Photoshop CS6, took around 10 hours to finish. I’m very happy with the colors. Somehow reminds me of Walls Paddlepop Rainbow :9 and the dreamy colors are just perfect for this theme. Inspired by kidchan, but then somehow it looks a bit airbrushy. What do you think? :)
Oh, check out the process here:

Yesterday, I went to Bandung with Michelle and Gita, to watch ITB Student Choir in concert, namely Atras Agora. The three of us, latter joined by Michael went for lunch at Dago Heuvel, a restaurant at the end of Dago Bukit Pakar area. Actually, we haven’t decided where to have our lunch. Michael took us to Bukit Pakar, since there’s a lot of restaurants there, but we couldn’t make up our mind. We just went to the very far end, and we just felt like it’s a waste of time to go all the way there and going back, so we decided to have our lunch there. Sloped road going down the hills, thanks to Michael driving skill, we made it there! Hurrah (my driving skill is so bad)

I can say that it’s very cozy, and it’s very open, kinda reminds me of restaurants in Puncak. Too bad you can’t find a lot of open-outdoor restaurant in Jakarta because of the traffic :(

This is not a chicken. Not a duck. It’s a swan! Roasted smashed swan with honey, served with sayur asem. We were so curious, so we ordered one to see how it tasted. It turned out pretty good. It’s like a chicken, but bigger and chewier than chicken. Yummy!
After our lunch, we decided to fry some Oreos. YES, FRIED OREOS. Oreos, dipped in pancake batter, fried.

Then we rushed to watch the concert. Taking photo or video was prohibited, too bad.

Me, Claudia, Gita, Beni, Steve, Michael, Kevin, and Fabian after the concert. Photos taken by someone else.
Before heading back to Jakarta, we decided to have dinner at Hummingbird at Progo. It was around 10, so there wasn’t a lot of people there.

Pretty interior design. Comforting, perfect place to spend the night with friends.

And of course, great food! The spring rolls were nice. The croquette made us amazed; it’s crunchy on the outside, but it melts right in your mouth. Combined with the rich sauce, it’s epic. Highly recommended. The salmon was also terrific, with the mashed potato and roasted eggplants. Perfect combination. Then dessert, I forgot what’s the name of the food but who cares, as long as it’s awesome. Caramelized banana, vanilla ice cream, waffles with dark chocolate and butterscotch, topped with almond. What could be wrong with that?

the stock photo moment
It was a short trip, but we enjoyed every moments of it.
Yesterday, Bayu, Leo, Krisan, Will, and I went to Marina Barrage. It was cloudy when we arrived, and it started to drizzle as soon as we took our cameras out. But well, rain could never restrain us from having fun.

Today I went with Leo & Krisan for photo-hunting. The weather today wasn’t so nice, it was cloudy by the time we arrived at Chinese Garden. And then it started to drizzle for a bit, and then it stopped, and then it drizzled again, until it turned out to be a heavy rain. Luckily we were inside the MRT by the time the rain poured. We went to The Star Vista to have our lunch, and met Putri there. We continued our trip to Telok Blangah and The Henderson Waves, and then took the bus to Vivo City to had dinner. Well, it was really tiring, especially because all of us hadn’t had proper exercise due to all of the assignments - sitting in front of the computers all day long. But still, we did have fun :D

Monday 29/4, I went to level 6 - NAFA campus 1, to see Fine Art department’s photography assignments exhibition. They have wonderful works and i found that how they interpret the art in photography is different with design folks. here are some of them:
^i call this hard…
berbeda itu bagai mimpi buruk
yang siap menyergap seketika juga kamu berbeda
menghujam dengan sejuta perbedaan
perbedaan hati perberbedaan pikiran
berbeda dengan dengan mimpi buruk, kamu tidak terlelap
kamu hanya merasakan sesuatu yang berbeda
berbeda makna berbeda rasa
berbeda itu bagai kutuk
kutuk dimana berbeda terasa amat beda
beda hati beda jiwa
beda pun akan beda dari semua yg beda
hingga suatu saat beda itu kehilangan makna
hingga beda menjadi suatu suara beda yang terasa beda
ya, beda
I’ve always tried to please everybody, which is impossible in the first place. Why did I do that ? Because I believed that impossibilities are non-existent. I believed, or should I say I naively-innocently-believed that possibilities are always there. I wanted to please everybody, to show that I can, that I’m able to.
But now I realize that limitations do exist. After an series of unexpected turns in life, I come to admit that there are things that I cannot change. I admit that I’ve lost.
but deep down inside, I still hope that I’m able to change some things inside me. I wish.
Me, Natasha (akaidaia.tumblr.com) and Kevin (kevinsayshello.tumblr.com) was attending a Cardboard Sculpture Workshop at Scape’s Warehouse. Actually this is a 1 week event, but we finally decided to only attend 1 day because we need to do our ISP- Integrated Studio Project (or you can say, our final semester project) huhuhu :(
We made a Merlion sculpture instructed by Bartholomew T (www.butternmilk.com), but unfortunately i haven’t the finish version photo. It was really fun and we learnt so much stuffs there, like how to make the sculpture from digital to the real thing. These are photos I took while doing the workshop ;)
This workshop is super fun ! I can’t wait to see the finished piece, maybe I’ll go there again this weekend. And then Bart said that we will be able to sign it :D Well I feel bad for ‘vandalizing’ the Merlion sculpture though.
